Kaiser had lost four games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-4 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They slipped by the Colton Yellowjackets 22-21. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Cats were down 14-0 in the second quarter.

As for Colton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. They were up 14-0 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Colton lost, don't look at Koa Regalado. Despite the final result, he threw for 196 yards and two TDs while completing 85% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards.

Looking ahead, Kaiser will head out on the road to square off against San Gorgonio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cats will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.38 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Colton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rim of the World at 7:00 p.m. The Fighting Scots' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
