Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Lions vs. Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions

The Liberty Lions will challenge the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Liberty and three for Mountain Ridge.

Liberty lost 3-0 to Desert Vista on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge faced Casteel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Mountain Lions came up short against the Colts, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Mountain Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.

Liberty couldn't quite get it done against Mountain Ridge in their previous meeting last Tuesday as they fell 3-1. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
