Basketball Game Preview: Johns Creek Gladiators vs. Lanier Longhorns

The Johns Creek Gladiators will take on the Lanier Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lanier took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Johns Creek, who comes in off a win.

Johns Creek will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Chattahoochee, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Johns Creek walked away with a 61-49 win over Chattahoochee on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Gladiators as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Lanier was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 52-51 to North Gwinnett. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Longhorns came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 251st).

Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Johns Creek, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Things could have been worse for Johns Creek, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-47 loss to Lanier in their previous meeting back in December of 2024.
