Delta Streets Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 40-36 W over the Delta Academy Raiders. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Delta Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradley Smith, who rushed for 142 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also threw for 171 yards and three TDs. Smith also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass. Delta Academy's leading receiver Chase Fowler was Smith's top target yet again, picking up 119 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

With the victory, Delta Streets Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Delta Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Delta Streets Academy will venture away from home to take on Christ Covenant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Delta Academy, they will host Central Holmes Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
