Football Game Preview: King City Wildkats vs. North Andrew Cardinals

The King City Wildkats will head out on the road to take on the North Andrew Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. King City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully North Andrew likes a good challenge.

King City is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Pattonsburg, who was ranked eighth at the time (King City was ranked 13th). The game between the Wildkats and the Panthers didn't end well, with the Wildkats falling 58-42. The matchup marked the Wildkats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, North Andrew was beaten by Albany 56-22 on Friday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, King City fell to 5-1. As for North Andrew, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

King City didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North Andrew when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 36-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildkats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
