Baseball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Fort Wayne Snider on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 8-4.

Carroll saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Morris, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Carroll moved to 10-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Carroll will head out to take on Homestead at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they will welcome Fort Wayne Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
