Basketball Recap: Battlefield Takes a Loss

Battlefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-57 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oakton Cougars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Bobcats still had to take the loss.

Battlefield now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Oakton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Battlefield will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Oakton, they and Atlee will face off at 5:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Atlee will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Oakton surely won't give up without a fight.
