Volleyball Recap: Blue Valley North Comes Up Short on the Road Against Washburn Rural + How To Watch

Blue Valley North kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Washburn Rural Blues by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blues apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Blue Valley North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Reese Maslowski paced Blue Valley North's offense, picking up 14 kills. Maslowski got some help from Renee DeRoy and her 18 assists.

Blue Valley North will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Olathe Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washburn Rural, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Hayden on Tuesday.
