Volleyball Game Preview: Minerva Lions vs. Carrollton Warriors

Minerva is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Carrollton is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lions will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Minerva made easy work of Aquinas and carried off a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Carrollton hadn't done well against New Philadelphia recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Quakers 3-2.

Carrollton was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-99), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 20-25, 12-25, 25-21, 16-14.

The victory got Carrollton back to even at 11-11. As for Minerva, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Minerva beat Carrollton 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
