Basketball Recap: Uplift Infinity Prep Comes Up Short

Uplift Infinity Prep lost against Newman International Academy back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Uplift Infinity Prep was outmatched by Newman International Academy and fell 56-8.

Arianna Miranda produced another solid performance almost dropping a double-double with 29 points and nine steals for Newman International Academy. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Miranda has scored at least a third of the Warriors' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Calhoun, who posted six points in addition to eight steals and six assists.

Uplift Infinity Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Newman International Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Uplift Infinity Prep will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Hills Prep at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. Newman International Academy will take on Varsity Opponent in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
