Volleyball Game Preview: McMullen County Cowboys vs. Ingleside Mustangs

The McMullen County Cowboys will face off against the Ingleside Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Ingleside took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on McMullen County, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, McMullen County got the win against Pawnee by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with Pawnee: they've now won three in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant McMullen County was: they took every set by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-7, 25-4.

Meanwhile, Ingleside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Sinton.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 25-15.

Ingleside's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for McMullen County, their win bumped their record up to 23-13.

McMullen County took their victory against Ingleside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
