Soccer Game Preview: Longmont vs. Frontier Academy

The Longmont Trojans will challenge the Frontier Academy Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Longmont is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Silver Creek on Saturday. The Trojans fell 4-2 to the Raptors. Longmont haven't had much luck with Silver Creek recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Frontier Academy waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1.

Frontier Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five matches. As for Longmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Longmont couldn't quite get it done against Frontier Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-3. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
