Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midland Classical Academy Knights. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 971st, while the Knights are ranked 162nd).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midland Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Davis, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 19 points along with seven boards and three steals. The matchup was Davis' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addie Dunn, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Midland Classical Academy, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Trinity Christian has already played their next game (against Trinity), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Midland Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-28 victory against Temple Christian on the 18th.
