Soccer Game Preview: Delta vs. Richfield

The Delta Rabbits will challenge the Richfield Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Richfield took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Delta, who comes in off a win.

Delta took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Emery get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for Delta, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Emery with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Williams, Easton Winsor, and Korver Pace.

Meanwhile, Richfield didn't have quite enough to beat Canyon View on Friday and fell 2-1. Richfield have struggled against Canyon View recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Richfield used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Canyon View. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Knox Shaw (67), Samuel Gonzalez (64), and Adam Graham (30). The trio had averaged 18.5, 34, and 12.7 minutes respectively before Friday's match. Gonzalez made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Delta's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Richfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
