Volleyball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Summit last Thursday, Union came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the North Summit Braves by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 26, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Union actually scored more points across those five sets (100-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Summit, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will square off against Uintah at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Summit, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Sevier at 6:30 p.m. on September 9. This will be the Braves' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
