Recap: Gwynn Park Yellowjackets vs. Potomac Wolverines
The Gwynn Park Yellowjackets stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past Potomac 78-11 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Gwynn Park sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Gwynn Park got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was O'Liyah Contee out in front who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Contee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nala Abraham, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Gwynn Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Potomac, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gwynn Park will take on International High School at Largo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. International High School at Largo is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Potomac, they will be playing at home against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
