Faith Farris and Pilar Hampton secure win for Our Lady of the Elms

There's no place like home for the Our Lady of the Elms Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Andrews Osborne Academy 56-33. Our Lady of the Elms pushed the score to 49-25 by the end of the third, a deficit Andrews Osborne Academy cut but never quite recovered from.

Our Lady of the Elms was led to victory by Faith Farris and Pilar Hampton. Farris dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Hampton dropped a double-double on 22 points and 26 rebounds. Hampton has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Palmer Hampton, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Our Lady of the Elms pushed their record up to 9-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Our Lady of the Elms will head out on the road to challenge St. Vincent-St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
