Basketball Game Preview: Nueces Canyon Panthers vs. Knippa Crushers

Nueces Canyon is 1-9 against Knippa since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Nueces Canyon Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Knippa Crushers at 6:30 p.m. Knippa took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nueces Canyon, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Nueces Canyon turned things around against Leakey on Tuesday. They slipped by the Eagles 37-36.

Meanwhile, Knippa suffered their closest loss since January 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Comstock by a score of 54-51.

Knippa dropped their record down to 15-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Nueces Canyon, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-24.

Nueces Canyon came up short against Knippa in their previous matchup back in January, falling 57-45. Can Nueces Canyon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
