Basketball Game Preview: Piedmont Academy Cougars vs. Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders

Piedmont Academy hasn't had much luck against Robert Toombs Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. Piedmont Academy will be strutting in after a win while Robert Toombs Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, Piedmont Academy earned a 53-45 victory over Trinity Christian.

Piedmont Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chase Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards, and Corbett Crews, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. What's more, Taylor also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Tyler Griswell, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Robert Toombs Christian Academy came up short against Southland Academy on Saturday and fell 55-48. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Piedmont Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Piedmont Academy might still be hurting after the 64-38 defeat they got from Robert Toombs Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February. Can Piedmont Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
