Volleyball Recap: PikeView Takes a Loss

PikeView was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Independence Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

PikeView was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13, 25-20.

PikeView's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Independence, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-2.

PikeView has already played their next game (against Bluefield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Independence, they will challenge Greenbrier East at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
