After flying high against Sonoma Valley last Tuesday, Vintage came back down to earth. The Crushers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons on Thursday. The Crushers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Soren DeYoung was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Vintage saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Porter, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Vintage's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Sonoma Valley, their record now sits at 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vintage will welcome Justin-Siena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sonoma Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Rafael at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
