Matanzas's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seabreeze Sandcrabs, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Sandcrabs: they've now won six in a row.

Matanzas wouldn't go down easily and took Seabreeze into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 15-7.

Sanigh Arneaud paced Matanzas' offense, picking up 20 kills. Arneaud got some help from Haley Stewart and her 47 assists. Arneaud was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Matanzas' victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Seabreeze, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Matanzas will host Father Lopez at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seabreeze, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pine Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
