Jackson-Reed has gone a perfect 6-0 against Coolidge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will host the Colts at 4:00 p.m. Jackson-Reed will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Jackson-Reed is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Maret, who was ranked third at the time (Jackson-Reed was ranked first). The Tigers never let the Frogs get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Nelson Hayes looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last three matches.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Loomis, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Fox-Fernandez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coolidge). They put the hurt on Ballou with a sharp 26-4 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Colts considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Tate Appleforsberg was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up four earned runs but no hits. Appleforsberg was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Coolidge's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-12 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Rodrigo Cabrera-Garcia was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Orion Fernandez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.
Coolidge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .833. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Jackson-Reed pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Coolidge, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
Coolidge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jackson-Reed hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. It's a different story for Coolidge, though, as they've only averaged .259. Will they be able to contain Jackson-Reed's hitters?
Jackson-Reed took their victory against Coolidge in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 19-1 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
