Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Redwolves vs. Madison Trojans

Clinton hasn't had much luck against Madison recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Clinton Redwolves will head out on the road to challenge the Madison Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Clinton was able to grind out a solid victory over Hillsdale, taking the game 55-44. The win continues a trend for the Redwolves in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Madison made easy work of Britton Deerfield on Monday and carried off a 54-30 victory. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Patriots are ranked 601st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Madison and bumps their season record up to 13-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for Clinton, their record is now 6-9.

Clinton was taken down by Madison 55-18 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Clinton was down 36-14.
