Volleyball Recap: Trinity Trojans vs. Keller Indians
Trinity came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Keller Indians, falling 3-0. The Trojans have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
While Trinity was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Keller's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-16.
Lauren Scheiden had an outrageously good game for Keller as she had 21 digs and nine assists. Scheiden is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Teagan Barnes, who had 13 assists and four digs.
Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 13-25. As for Keller, their record is now 28-6.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Trinity is set to square off against their familiar foe V.R. Eaton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Keller will take on rival Timber Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
