Football Recap: Willow Spring Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Willow Spring played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 43-3 loss at the hands of the Jordan Falcons. The game marked the Storm's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ethan Dyk Es threw for 64 yards on eight of 24 attempts. Luke Maslow was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards. On the ground, Javel Smith rushed for 44 yards.

Jordan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Melton out in front who threw for 196 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 80 yards on only 11 carries. Another back making a difference was Damien Hayes, who rushed for 85 yards and two scores.

Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Jordan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Willow Spring wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 31-12 win against Laney on the 7th. As for Jordan, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Leesville Road at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Falcons 6.4, the Pride 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
