Basketball Game Preview: Village Tech Viper Squid vs. Terrell Tigers

The Village Tech Viper Squid will venture away from home to take on the Terrell Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Village Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season.

Village Tech took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They took down Peaster 60-46.

Village Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Thomas out in front who went 8-for-16 on his way to 18 points and six steals. That's the most steals Thomas has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryan Hogg, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Terrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of Sunnyvale.

Village Tech pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.4 points on average over those games. As for Terrell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
