Baseball Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. Manual Thunderbolts

The Alameda Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Manual Thunderbolts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither Alameda nor Manual posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Alameda is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Denver South just ended the team's five-game winning streak dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against the Ravens, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Manual fell victim to Lincoln and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Lancers. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunderbolts in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost three in a row.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Manual, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
