Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Temoney paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Temoney got some help from Malaya Dewey and her six assists. Temoney was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with four each.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-15-1. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7-2.

Looking ahead, Spring Valley will take on Lugoff-Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Ben Lippen on the 13th.
