Volleyball Recap: Evans Comes Up Short

Evans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the University Cougars, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-10.

University was led to victory by Josiah Hernandez and Logan Calderon. Hernandez had eight digs and six aces, while Calderon had 27 assists. Those 27 assists gave Calderon a new career-high.

Evans' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for University, their record now sits at 3-11.

Coming up, Evans will square off against Wekiva at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University, they will face off against Timber Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
