Baseball Recap: Bishop Machebeuf Comes Up Short

Bishop Machebeuf lost against St. Mary back in March of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Pirates. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Machebeuf saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Menke, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Menke is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Miles Edgar was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Bishop Machebeuf now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Mary's, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

While Bishop Machebeuf had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
