Volleyball Recap: Ottumwa Comes Up Short

Ottumwa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Ames Little Cyclones. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Little Cyclones apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ottumwa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ames, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ottumwa is set to take on their familiar foe Hoover at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ames will challenge rival Marshalltown at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
