Softball Game Preview: Union County Yellowjackets vs. Chesnee Eagles

The Union County Yellowjackets will venture away from home to challenge the Chesnee Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Chesnee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Union County's offense. They fell 4-0 to Mountain View Prep on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that the Yellowjackets let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, Chesnee wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-5), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Chesnee's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Union County, the loss was their first at home, dropping their record down to 7-4.

Union County was able to grind out a solid win over Chesnee in their previous meeting back in March, winning 10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
