St. Mary Catholic has gone 7-1 against Howards Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Zephyrs are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for St. Mary Catholic and 15 for Howards Grove dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, St. Mary Catholic came up short against Reedsville and fell 7-3.

St. Mary Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabrielle Guerrero, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Howards Grove also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Oostburg by a score of 8-4.

Howards Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Mary Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

St. Mary Catholic took their win against Howards Grove when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Zephyrs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
