Soccer Recap: Modoc Comes Up Short

Modoc's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to the Mt. Shasta Bears. Modoc were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Mt. Shasta earlier this season, when they won 1-1.

Modoc's goal came courtesy of Tallon Young, who's now up to three this season.

Modoc has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Mt. Shasta, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Modoc will take on Tulelake at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Modoc's defense better be ready for this one: Tulelake have averaged an impressive 5 goals per game this season. As for Mt. Shasta, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Etna on the 16th.
