Softball Game Preview: Franklin County Wildcats vs. Rushville Lions

The Franklin County Wildcats will take on the Rushville Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Franklin County and four for Rushville.

Franklin County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lawrenceburg, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 9-7 on Monday.

Brooke Stang made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Bailey Kaiser was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Rushville fell victim to Greensburg and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Pirates.

Rushville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Everything went Franklin County's way against Rushville in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Franklin County made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
