Volleyball Recap: Anacortes Seahawks vs. Mt. Baker Mountaineers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lynden, Anacortes was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Mt. Baker Mountaineers. The Seahawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mountaineers, too.
Anacortes was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-19.
Anacortes found their leader in sophomore Raely Devries, who had ten digs and three aces.
With the victory, Anacortes broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-7-1. As for Mt. Baker, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with the loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Anacortes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Baker, they will venture away from home to challenge Blaine at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
