Soccer Game Preview: Carman-Ainsworth vs. Central

The Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers will square off against the Central Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Carman-Ainsworth and eight for Central.

Carman-Ainsworth fell victim to Heritage and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Central didn't have quite enough to beat Garber on Saturday and fell 4-3. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Garber are ranked 43rd).

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Carman-Ainsworth, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Carman-Ainsworth might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
