Baseball Recap: North Smithfield Takes a Loss

North Smithfield lost against Woonsocket back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Northmen fell 8-3 to the Villa Novans.

North Smithfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Dec, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

North Smithfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woonsocket, the win (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Smithfield will challenge Tolman at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woonsocket, they will take on Burrillville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
