Preview: Mercer Island vs. Interlake
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Mercer Island. They will take on Interlake at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Mercer Island are coming into the game hot, having won four in a row.
The struggle was real when Mercer Island and Burlington-Edison clashed last Friday, but Mercer Island ultimately edged out the opposition 20-17.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 13-56, which was the final score in Interlake's tilt against Liberty. Interlake were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-49.
Mercer Island's win lifted them to 4-0 while Interlake's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. We'll find out if Mercer Island can add another positive mark to their record or if Interlake can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Mercer Island's step.
