Softball Recap: Crestview Victorious

Crestview won the last time they faced South Central and things went their way on Monday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 20-1 victory.

Allison Volz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Volz was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Crestview got a massive performance out of Bria White, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits White has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Mallory Ringler, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Crestview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Crestview's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Crestview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
