Softball Recap: Lakeshore Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Lakeshore dropped their record down to 21-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Penn Kingsmen, falling 13-5. The Lancers were not able to make up for their loss to the Kingsmen from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Penn, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Considering they have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Penn's part, Logan Rumble was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Rumble has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Zachary, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

While Lakeshore had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
