Softball Recap: South Grand Prairie Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

South Grand Prairie saw some tournament action on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the McKinney Lions.

South Grand Prairie's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs over those games. As for McKinney, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, South Grand Prairie will be taking part in a tournament against Hallsville at 10:45 a.m. on Friday. Hallsville's pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so South Grand Prairie's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McKinney, they will take on Pine Tree in a tournament on Friday.
