Waipahu is a perfect 3-0 against Nanakuli since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Marauders will be playing at home against the Golden Hawks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Waipahu has four straight wins, Nanakuli has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Waipahu is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Wai'anae, who was ranked eighth at the time (Waipahu was ranked seventh). The Marauders took down the Seariders 29-13 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Nanakuli was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They took a blow against Kailua, falling 44-6.

Nanakuli's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Waipahu, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Waipahu against Nanakuli when the teams last played back in September of 2018, as the team secured a 36-0 win. Will the Marauders repeat their success, or do the Golden Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
