Greater Vision Academy skates past Hickory H with ease

Recap: Greater Vision Academy Lions vs. Hickory H Hawks

Make it seven blowout wins for the Greater Vision Academy Lions this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Hickory H 80-53 at home. Winning may never get old, but Greater Vision Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Greater Vision Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Johntez Raspberry, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Tobius Baker was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Despite the loss, Hickory H still got an impressive performance from Tay Early, who scored 22 points along with two steals. Early hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Thomas Repass, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Greater Vision Academy pushed their record up to 12-6 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.6 points. As for Hickory H, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Vision Academy will square off against Gospel Light Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Gospel Light Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Hickory H, they will head out on the road to square off against Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
