Volleyball Recap: Suffolk Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Suffolk Christian Academy lost against Oaktree Academy back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Grizzlies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered against the Grizzlies since October 14, 2016.

While Suffolk Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Suffolk Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Taylor Foster, who had six kills, six digs, and four aces. Foster has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last seven times she's played. Emery Garza was another key player, getting eight digs and one assist.

Suffolk Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Oaktree Academy, their record is now 4-5.

Looking ahead, Suffolk Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mount Calvary Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. As for Oaktree Academy, they will host TEACH Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
