Football Recap: Choctaw County Tigers vs. Marion Rams
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southern Choctaw, Choctaw County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Marion Rams 34-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their six-point performance the matchup before.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Choctaw County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tracy Poke, who picked up 122 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 54 yards. Poke showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 60 yards. Another passer making a difference was Jaydon Thomas, who threw for 210 yards and a pair of TDs.
Choctaw County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Marion, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Choctaw County will head out to challenge Pickens Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marion, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Spirit Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
