Soccer Game Preview: Southwest Wake vs. Hilltop Christian

The Southwest Wake Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Hilltop Christian Chargers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Wake's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Southwest Wake's offense. They fell just short of Forsyth Home Educators by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Hilltop Christian hadn't done well against Southside Christian recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hilltop Christian had just enough and edged out Southside Christian 3-2. The result kept Hilltop Christian happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 4th.

Hilltop Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five contests. Southwest Wake's loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Southwest Wake beat Hilltop Christian 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Southwest Wake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hilltop Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
