Basketball Recap: Faye Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bartlett over Brentwood

After flying high against Arlington on Friday, Bartlett came back down to earth. The Bartlett Panthers lost to the Brentwood Bruins on the road by a 72-55 margin on Saturday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bartlett lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Faye Williams, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 14 points and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Laila Willis, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Bartlett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive matches.
