The Bad Axe Hatchets had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 55-45 win over Vassar. That's another feather in the cap for Bad Axe, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Several Vulcans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Long, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Long also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
